Honda Raised The Bar With Its Brand New 2018 Accord

People are always looking for the ‘next best thing’ for any standard item. While the original was good, a souped up version is always better. The same can be said about cars. Elevating a trusted model to new heights often results in widespread excitement. Mid-sized sedans have long been a popular choice among families. When looking at the 2018 market, the 2018 Honda Accord has separated itself as a very good option.

This year’s vehicle has five models to choose from: LX, Sports, EX, EX-L, and Touring. According to Honda’s website, base performance includes two turbocharged four-cylinder 1.5-liter engines (192 HP and 192 lb.-ft. of torque). Six-speed and 10-speed units are made available depending upon desired acceleration levels. From a gas mileage standpoint, the 2018 Honda Accord is quite good. It receives estimations of 30 miles-per-gallon on city driving, and 38 miles-per-gallon on the highway. These rates are exceptional when having to commute to work — or shuttle children back-and-forth between sporting events or after-school activities of any kind.

The 2018 Honda Accord has 10 brilliant colors to choose from: Kona Coffee Metallic, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Champagne Frost Pearl, Luna Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, San Marino Red, Platinum White Pearl, Obsidian Blue Pearl, and Still Night Pearl. Aesthetically, the frame of the vehicle is understated yet elegant. Where much of the value exists is inside the cabin. Though rather minimalist in nature, the clean fixtures makes in-cabin interface functionality quite good. The interface is updated — with volume and turning knobs now made available. These sit alongside the standard 7″ screen as well as the optional 8″ one.

Within the cabin, certain packages offer a power-operated passenger seat, a 10-speaker system, memory function for the driver, and an optional navigation system. More expensive units also allow for heated seats (front and back), parking sensors, rain-sensing windshield wipers, full LED headlights, and sparkling 19-inch alloy wheels. Legroom for passengers is also immensely improved from older models. A major boon includes trunk space — as the 2018 Honda Accord comes equipped with 16.7 cubic ft. of room. This works perfectly for an individual consistently having to transport items or materials.

The Honda Sensing package includes a multitude of safety measures for any driver and their passengers. It includes lane-keeping assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking forward-collision warning, and adaptive cruise control. Surely, these measures were crafted with the customer’s most significant needs in mind.

One has to look at the versatility offered by this vehicle in its totality. It functions quite well as a commuter vehicle — namely due to its fuel economy and overall comfort in the cabin. When taking a further look, spacious metrics in trunk space and cabin roominess make the 2018 Honda Accord a great get for those with a family.

The feeling of being cramped in the backseat will no longer exist. Duly, the afforded trunk space makes the 2018 Honda Accord’s value increase even further. Sporting equipment, building materials, an instrument, gym equipment, or any sorts of miscellaneous items can comfortably fit in the back of the vehicle. Without question, the 2018 Honda Accord is a wonderful choice for any prospective car buyer.
